I watched an early gangster movie on TCM several years ago. I never caught the name of the movie, but I have been craving to watch it again. Its an early one, obviously a new talky. I wanna say that it was a pre-code. I don't remember the any of the actors or actresses. I just remember the one line where the man is trying to console the woman ( i want to say because she doesn't what he's doing) and he says "I might keep you up all night, but you'll see the sunrise through silk curtains" I know its like nothing to go on, i've been combing my brain trying to remember anything else about it, but I'd really appreciate any help on this.

I will honestly send you a box of cookies and brownies and love if you can tell me the name of this movie. Please?

Google search lead me to this PDF of a newspaper which says the movie is "Sergeant Madden"
